This
activity aims to identify good practices used by members and to bring them to
the attention of other members, so that they can learn from each other’s best
practices to improve operational safety and reliability. A good practice is a
technique, programme or process that has been proven particularly effective at
improving safety and reliability at one or more nuclear power plants. Once
identified and screened for applicability and genuine value to other plants,
good practices are distributed to members via the members' secure WANO Web site, a good practice
database and an annual report.
In addition, a new series of support documents,
WANO Guidelines, have been developed for each functional area to help members to
achieve excellent performance.
