New Chairman for WANO

 
The Governing Board of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) announced that William Cavanaugh, lll will succeed Hajimu Maeda as Chairman of WANO in July 2004. Mr Maeda steps down after two years as Chairman. The announcement was made during the recent WANO Governing Board meeting in Nara, Japan.

WANO is a worldwide organisation that promotes safe and reliable operation at 442 member commercial nuclear units in 35 countries.
